Istria.
My favourite part of Slovenia.
I've
never seen it in spring before, blooming gracefully, smelling fresh
and teeming with life.
The
photos will speak for themselves.
The
ladybird at the start of the trail announced the trip is going to be
a lucky one!
We
respected the Slovenian tradition of signing into a notebook when
visiting a hike route. To access the small booklet, we needed to
climb into a small rock hollow.
The
lovely wild daffodils!
One of the wonderful viewpoints (though, the border crossing with Croatia was just under it).
Even
though we saw the cliffs from afar, we still managed to follow the
wrong path...
...but
we were glad we did - as we walked through the coastal forest, we
found something special - wild asparagus!
Going back to the open, with our eyes trained to find the small, green, conspicuous sprouts, we noticed some more details around us
Even
the tree buds displayed some beautiful colours (even you could see
them only from up close - from afar, the trees still appeared asleep)
Soon
we finally reached the cliffs
Veli
Badin - Ušesa Istre (named as "The Ears of Istria")
Wanting
to spend some more time in the area, we walked even further and
enjoyed the beauties of Slovenia, as a simple writing on a rock once
said.
